Presentations for lay groups

  • Dr. Ormston is available to speak to your group about various topics concerning animal chiropractics.  Some of the groups he has spoken in front of are listed for references.  Also any upcoming talks are listed.  His calendar has a tendency to fill fast so contact him via email if you wish to schedule him for your group.

CANINE   

  • Dallas Area Search and Rescue Club.  October 2, 2004.  Dr. Ormston discussed biomechanics in the search and rescue dog for 60 minutes.

  • Texas Kennel Club.   February 22, 2005.  Dr. Ormston presented a 90 minute power point program on chiropractic care for the athletic dog.

  • North Texas Herding Dogs.  July 9, 2005.   Dr. Ormston led a discussion on biomechanics

EQUINE   

  • Horseman's  Radio Weekly.  January 21, 2005.  Dr. Ormston was the guest and he discussed equine chiropractic care with host Jim Campbell.

  • North Central Texas College.  Gainesville.  Dr. Ormston lectures once a month to the students enrolled in the 2 year equestrian science program.  The topics vary but include equine chiropractic care, equine biomechanics, tools for equine gait analysis, saddle fit and other subjects.  He is usually there on the third Friday of the month.  Check the calendar.

  • Wells Bros. Feed Store.  McKinney.  September 18, 2004.  Dr. Ormston presented a working demonstration of how equine chiropractic works.

  • Collin County 4-H and FFA horse clubs.  Collin County Youth Park.  October 23, 2004.  Dr. Ormston presented a working demonstration of how equine chiropractic works.

  • Cooke County Extension.  Gainesville.  November 13, 2004.  Dr. Ormston presented a power point presentation on equine chiropractics.

  • Equine Health Expo.  Equine Times.  Weatherford.  November 13, 2004.  Dr. Ormston presented a working demonstration on biomechanics and chiropractic care for the horse.

  • Equine Educational Expo.  Equine Times.  March 19 & 20, 2005.  Dr. Ormston will join several other area professionals in putting on two full days of equine educational seminars.  Dr. Ormston's topics will include equine chiropractics and biomechanics.

Lectures for professionals

  • Parker Postgraduate Program in Animal Chiropractics.  Dr. Ormston is one of the founding instructors and is responsible for 44 hours of lecture  and 75 hours of lab in the 200 hour basic course.
  • American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association Annual Meeting.  Kansas City, Kansas.  September 11, 2004.  Dr. Ormston presented 3 hours on biomechanics in the quadruped.
  • Midwest Veterinary Conference.  Columbus, Ohio.   Ohio Veterinary Medicine Association Annual State Meeting.  February 27th, 2005.  Dr Ormston presented 3 hours on introduction to animal chiropractic and 3 hours on biomechanics in the quadruped.
